The City Manager

A few months ago, the City Manager position was a hot job opening in Peoria, but then came word that since no one was taking it, the position had fallen through. Therefore, Henry Holling, who had been filling in as a temporary city manager until a permanent one could be found, has ended up staying on until the job is available again.  I just took Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis breaking the news to Henry Holling that the job had fallen through . . . . and made it into a literal thing.
