The Umbrella

The Morton Pumpkin Festival is a widely popular event, known as such throughout the entire nation; and people from all over travel to Morton to participate in its festivities.  Well, last year the Festival was a washout . . . literally.  It rained almost the entire time it was open, and the profits were hurt because of it.  As this year’s Festival approached, people had their fingers crossed that rainstorms would not be the case this time.  Imagine how those people felt who believed in ” jinxes.”  Hence, this cartoon.

A fight broke out at a party at Illinois Central College in East Peoria over . . . wait for it . . . a rap song.  Yeah, slightly on the ridiculous or ludicrous side.  Then again, those are the perfect conditions for a cartoon.

Parents Who Host

Sure, it’s illegal for adults to buy alcohol for minors, but it’s also illegal to let minors drink at parties, under an adult’s supervision.  Or at the very least, authorities are taking more notice of it.  So, on that note, parents . . . watch out!
